The Hungry Moose Kuwana - Grand Opening July 19, 2026
June 22, 2026
A New Gathering Place Is Coming to Kuwana Station West Exit
On July 19, 2026, The Hungry Moose Kuwana will officially open inside the West Exit concourse of Kuwana Station in Mie Prefecture.
Our new restaurant will be located within Kuwana Base, a new multi-purpose community facility being developed by the Kuwana Tourism Association.

Inspired by the vision behind this exciting new project, we are proud to join the development of a new gathering place for the community.
For more than 14 years, The Hungry Moose has been bringing people together in Nagoya through great food, sports, and shared experiences.
Now, that spirit is coming to Mie.
We hope to create a welcoming destination where not only the people of Kuwana, but also visitors from Yokkaichi, Suzuka, Tsu, and across the region can stop by, relax, and enjoy memorable experiences together.
About The Hungry Moose
Founded in Nagoya in 2013, The Hungry Moose was built on a simple idea:
Bringing people together through great food and sports.
Our concept combines:
At our Nagoya location, it is common to see complete strangers start conversations while watching a game and leave as friends.
We look forward to creating that same welcoming atmosphere in Kuwana.
Bringing the Excitement of Sports to Kuwana
Sports have a unique ability to unite people.
At The Hungry Moose Kuwana, we plan to work closely with Veertien Mie, one of the region's leading football clubs, to create a gathering place for supporters on match days.

Guests will enjoy:
- Live sports on large-screen displays
- An immersive sound system
- A lively atmosphere where fans can celebrate together
We hope to share the power of sports - the power to bring people together - from the heart of Kuwana Station.
Exclusive Craft Beer Available Only in Kuwana
We are currently developing an original craft beer that will be available exclusively at our Kuwana location.
Served fresh on tap, this special beer is designed to become a memorable part of every visit.
For local residents, we hope it becomes a beer they can proudly call their own.
For visitors, we hope it becomes a taste of Kuwana they will never forget.
Nagoya's Beloved Meat Dishes, Now in Kuwana
The Hungry Moose is known for one thing above all else: great meat.
Many of the signature dishes loved by our guests in Nagoya are coming to Kuwana as well.
Imagine the aroma of perfectly grilled steaks, a juicy Bacon Cheeseburger overflowing with melted cheese and rich flavor, authentic Canadian-style Poutine topped with savory gravy, and our famous Meat Island - a dramatic sharing platter that always turns heads when it arrives at the table.
The aroma, the excitement, and the sheer presence of these dishes are all part of the experience.
In addition, we are working closely with local farmers, fishers, producers, and businesses to develop exclusive menu items available only in Kuwana.
By showcasing ingredients from Mie Prefecture, we hope to create new flavors that celebrate the character of the region.
Guests will be able to enjoy both the signature taste of The Hungry Moose and exciting new dishes inspired by Mie's rich food culture.
Enjoy Coffee Crafted by a Two-Time Japan Barista Champion
Coffee is another important part of the experience at The Hungry Moose Kuwana.
We are honored to work with Tsuyoshi Kira, a coffee barista from Mie Prefecture and a two-time Japan Barista Champion, to create an exclusive original blend for our restaurant.
Known for its balance, aroma, depth, and drinkability, Kira's coffee has already become a favorite among our staff in Nagoya.
At The Hungry Moose Kuwana, guests will be able to enjoy this specially crafted blend as a unique coffee experience available only here.
Whether you're taking a break during the day, enjoying lunch, watching sports, or relaxing after dinner, we hope every cup leaves a lasting impression.
Imagine being able to enjoy coffee created by one of Japan's top baristas right here in Kuwana.
A Family-Friendly Sports Bar
Since opening our first restaurant, The Hungry Moose has always been 100% non-smoking.
We believe a sports bar should be welcoming to everyone - not only sports fans, but also families, children, couples, friends, and business groups.
Our restaurant is designed to be a comfortable place for:
- Lunch
- Coffee and café time
- Dinner
- Live sports viewing
- Business gatherings
- Family outings
No matter the occasion, we want guests to feel at home.
Creating a Place for the Next Generation
Looking ahead, we also plan to host community meal programs for children and families.
Food has always been at the heart of what we do, and we believe sharing meals can strengthen communities and create meaningful connections between generations.
Our goal is to provide a safe and welcoming environment where children and adults can naturally come together and support one another.
By doing so, we hope to contribute to the future of the local community.
Opening Inside Kuwana Base
The area surrounding the West Exit of Kuwana Station is currently undergoing exciting redevelopment.
At the center of this transformation is Kuwana Base, a new community hub being developed by the Kuwana Tourism Association.
Expected to become a new destination for both local residents and visitors, Kuwana Base is designed as a place where people can gather, connect, and enjoy the city.
The Hungry Moose Kuwana is proud to be part of this project.
Together with the Tourism Association and our community partners, we hope to create a vibrant destination where food, sports, and community naturally come together.

For us, this is more than simply opening a new restaurant.
It is an opportunity to bring the spirit of The Hungry Moose - where people connect through food and shared experiences - to the city of Kuwana.
